On the heels of the motion picture release of Notorious, comes an inside look at the “real” Christopher Wallace in the documentary Biggie Small: Rap Phenomenon. The uncut documentary will come straight to DVD and include home video from Biggie’s close friend D-Roc as well as unseen interviews. Stephen Bolles, Media Director of Gold Dust Media said this documentary offers a new perspective on the late Hip Hop Icon. “There are a lot of documentaries dealing with the drama of [Biggie’s] life or his beef with the west coast, but this documentary offers an inside look at the real Biggie, on and off stage.”

The documentary features interviews with Biggie as well as appearances by D-Roc, Diddy, Lil Kim, Lil Cease, Jay-Z, L.O.X., Damon Dash, DJ Enuff and Datwon Thomas. Mr. Bolles said the film offers a complimentary look to Biggie compared to the upcoming motion picture Notorious. "[That film] is the Hollywood take on Biggie's life, whereas [Biggie Small: Rap Phenomenon] is the raw footage; it’s like the two sides of a coin.”

"The DVD will also offer insight into Biggie’s dreams and aspirations as interviews delve into more personal subject matter," Mr. Bolles said. Mad Skillz or Skillz has always been one of the most lyrical dudes IMO. Skillz is most popular for the song "Ghostwriter". In which he names (but edits) artists for which he has written hit singles. With lines like 'I'm a ghostwriter, I'm the cat that you don't see/I write hits for rappers you like and charge 'em a fee'. Un-edited versions of the track have not surfaced but Skillz is known to do a live performance in which he includes the names. In one live performance he mentions P. I must have been a Junior in High school, when the Roc-A-Fella artist went to Hot 97 and did there thing on Funk master flex's radio show with one of the best posse freestyles on Flex's program. I knew a kid in school that could get any mix tape so i asked him for the freestyles i heard on Hot 97. i still have the c.d., Cipha Sounds has shared with the world video footage of the entire thing, and is releasing them in 7 parts. They were one of the first groups that I took notice to, that used real instrumentation to rap. You could hear guitar, bass, and a brass section.“Electric Relaxation” to me best represents this.

So the buzz in comic book land is the Incredible Hulk might be the character the Avengers must go up against in the Avengers movie currently in pre-production. Same story from the first Ultimates film ? But seeing how Nick Fury is Sam-Mutha-F’in-Jackson in Iron Man, it seems like a given the Avengers movie is heading toward Ultimates territory.
