Hulk vs. Thor
So the buzz in comic book land is the Incredible Hulk might be the character the Avengers must go up against in the Avengers movie currently in pre-production. Same story from the first Ultimates film ? But seeing how Nick Fury is Sam-Mutha-F’in-Jackson in Iron Man, it seems like a given the Avengers movie is heading toward Ultimates territory.

The Spectacular Spider-Man the Animated Series
Im going to show off my dorkieness for a moment and talk about The Spectacular Spider-Man the Animated Series. I like this series better than the 1994 Spider-man cartoon. The series is based on the original Spider-Man comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko the show references many other Spider-Man sources, such as the film trilogy. It starts off with Peter Parker as a high school teenager, which never has been done in any of the Spider-Man cartoons. Mix teenage angst & super hero drama and you got one good program. The series is done extremely well my only problem with the series is the animation is a little to cartoonish.
The Verve
The Verve is best know for there hit "Bitter Sweet Symphony" if your drawing a brain fart its In the movie Cruel Intentions it is song playing in the final scene of the movie the music video is posted below. Its been over 10 years since they released an album. "Fourth" was released in late August.

Still Reportin
"Still Reportin" is the fourth solo album by Tragedy Khadafi. IMO this album was so slept on...Lyrics were Tight Beat were Soulful its pure hip hop. "Still Reportin" was on constant rotation when it first dropped in 2003 a lot of my listeners would call in and request album cuts.

I slept on Cappadonna's "The Pillage" when it first dropped. The Pillage was released in early 1998, one of the first post-Forever releases from the Wu-Tang stable. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth
This guy was way ahead his time. 1995 had and endless surplus of talented Emcee but KIllah Priest added spiritual lyrics /metaphors with a religious reference. I was in the 6th grade and a class mate made me a cassette tape of Gza's "Liquid Swords". At the time i just thought wow what a great track and didn't really understand the meaning behind the song. I recently had a conversation about the meaning of BIBLE my answer was simple it is about ones journey to find faith.

Heather B. - All Glocks Down
You might know Heather B from being a cast member on the first season of MTV's The Real World New York. She is also an emcee. Heather B. is exactly what I want to see in a female emcee. Lyrical skills, uncut, down to earth, no frills, but not overdoing the griminess. Heather will lyrically deficate on Missy Elliot. Below is her video for All Glocks Down. The sample that was used in this song was "Money Makes The World Go Round" by the Stylistics. Ice Cube used this same sample and change the chorus line to "Gangsters Make The World Go Round" as the head title for the song. FYI look for Omar Epps playing video games next to Heather on the couch.

Alot of ppl sleep on Joe Budden and shouldnt. When I started my radio career Joe Buddens was on the come up in 2003. I thought his major label debut was solid. Pump it up was the hit but there were other great tracks (ie 10 mins) that should have gotten spins. Its a shame Def jam really didnt push and develop Buddens. Hipster, That is a term that have been thrown around alot lately. With the emerge of young, new, and standout-ish artist, no one knew whether to label them as back packers, or concious rappers, so instead of just labeling all the music as pure Hip Hop, a new sub genre was formed and they where thrown into a box. Forced to except being called a Hipster, as if the term was fit just for them, not many have spoken out against it in dept so I decided to ask some of the most popular so-called Hipsters the 5 W’s of what a Hipster is, This is what Mickey Factz had to say.
What is a Hipster?
A Hipster is a term that derives from the word Hippie. That kind of person came from the 60’s. Nowadays allegedly its a person that wears tight clothing and tries to stand out.What is a Hipster Rapper in your opinion?
I don’t have an opinion on what a Hipster Rapper is. Because I don’t know what one is. According to others a Hipster Rapper is someone who isn’t tough as the other rappers so they rap about different topics and wear stylish clothing.
From what you have heard what is the clich’e definition of a Hipster Rapper?
Conscious thinking. Stylish clothing. Backpacker demeanor. Genre bending. Ahead of the curve artist.
Have you ever been refered as one, and if so why do you think you have been?
Of course I have. I think its because the music I make is hot and not of the norm. What I wear is exclusive and everybody can’t cop it. I think its more jealousy then anything. Lol
Does the term turn you off, or are you ok with it?
I don’t care anymore. I used to get angry. Now its like call me whatever. Ima run with it. My music is going to seperate me from that term very fast.
Why do you think the term Hipster/ hipster rapper have been floating around so much lately?
Because I said it on a song with Kidz in the Hall. Naledge told me one day its all my fault cause I said it while dissing Nah Right and it caused an uproar. Little does he know, we are rewriting the history books. I know I’m not one, I’m just gonna continue to do what I do and let the people decide at the end of the day.
Can anyone be labeled as a hipster or just a musician?
People should be labled Musicians or Lyricists. Point blank.

Thes One and Double K are known as People Under the Stairs. People Under the Stairs are an underground hip hop group from Los Angeles, California. The group, also known as PUTS. PUTS is often considered one of the hip hop underground's most prominent acts, with a musical style similar to that of A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde. People Under the Stairs have the west coast sunny weather, fun rhyme and laid back attitude in opposition to the popular G Funk which is associated with west coast hip hop.
